Our Homes

Safe, homely supported accommodation across Wales

What our properties look like, how they are staffed, and the standards we hold them to.

Our accommodation models

TIFA Life provides flexible, specialist supported accommodation across Wales for young people aged 16+. Our homes offer structured, emotionally safe environments where young people rebuild confidence, develop independence skills and move toward sustainable futures. We specialise in UASC care, emergency placements and flexible pathways from intensive support to step-down living.

Our approach is rooted in core values: Safety (all young people are protected and secure), Empowerment (we build skills and confidence toward genuine independence), Respect (we honour each young person's identity, culture and voice), and Partnership (we work collaboratively with commissioners, partners and families).

The TIFA home difference

What makes a TIFA home different from a room and a rota. Six principles that sit behind every placement.

Trauma-Informed Design

Homes physically and emotionally designed to support young people who have experienced trauma. Safe spaces, calm environments, staff trained in trauma-responsive practice.

Consistency & Continuity

Stable staff teams and consistent routines that build trust and security. Young people develop meaningful relationships with their support workers.

Whole-Person Support

We support education, health, emotional wellbeing, and independence skills — not just housing. Every young person has a tailored support plan.

Safeguarding Excellence

Robust policies, trained staff, clear escalation procedures, and transparent reporting. Safeguarding is embedded in everything we do.

Community Integration

Young people are supported to engage with their local community, build social networks, and feel part of something beyond their accommodation.

Pathway to Independence

Our support is designed to build skills and confidence. We work toward independence, not long-term dependency.

Beyond housing: pathways to independence & opportunity

Safe accommodation is the foundation. We build on it by supporting education, employment, health and community integration — so young people develop the skills and confidence to move toward genuine independence.

Work Experience & CIC Pathways

Young people are supported into work placements, apprenticeships and employment pathways. Our Community Interest Company provides real work experience in catering, hospitality and community services.

Education & Learning

Support to engage with education, training and skills development. We work closely with schools, colleges and training providers to remove barriers to learning.

Health & Wellbeing

Access to mental health support, GP services, substance misuse support and wellbeing activities. Physical and mental health are prioritised.

Sports & Recreation

Structured activities including sports, arts, outdoor pursuits and hobbies. Young people discover interests and build confidence through doing.

TIFA Life is not CIW registered — 16+ supported accommodation sits outside CIW scope under current Welsh legislation.
