Guide rate card
Use these rates for early comparison and referral planning. The written offer remains the controlling document: it confirms live capacity, suitability, staffing, property, reporting, term, exclusions and VAT.
Accommodation-led offers

Emergency mobilisation
+12.5% for the first 14 nights. On top of the agreed rate for the first 14 nights only, after which the standard rate applies. Agreed in writing before arrival.

Post-18 UASC: the illustration of around £18 a night uses current Swansea assumptions and is not a benefit guarantee; Home Office leaving-care funding is £270 a week per eligible former UASC care leaver under the 2026-27 instructions. All guide rates require safe matching and written agreement.

Why is the group bed rate quoted two ways? +
£1,195 a bed a week is the standard rate. £995 a bed a week applies only where a whole home of 5 to 6 beds is commissioned for 12 months. Enhanced needs are quoted from £1,295 a bed a week.
Why are there three hourly rates? +
Because they buy different things. £27 an hour is staffing bought on its own with no minimum term. £25.50 an hour is staffing bought on its own and commissioned for 12 weeks or more. £24.50 an hour is the support component inside a TIFA solo accommodation-and-support package, priced on top of the £595 accommodation, also on a 12-week minimum term. The difference between the last two is what is purchased, not the length of commitment, and the £24.50 rate does not apply to staffing bought on its own, to shared placements or to volume arrangements.
What is charged on top of an hourly rate? +
A sleep-in night is £125 in addition to the hourly rate. Waking nights are not sleep-ins: they are charged at the hourly rate that applies to the placement. Waking nights, second workers and enhanced ratios are not inside the rates above; they are priced against the young person's plan and confirmed in writing before they start. Management, on-call, recording, reporting and reviews are not charged separately.
How do the fixed solo packages add up? +
Each fixed package is the £595 accommodation plus the stated support hours at £24.50 an hour: 10 hours is £840, 20 hours is £1,085 and 40 hours is £1,575. Food is not included. The minimum term is 12 weeks from the placement start date.
Is there a charge for an urgent mobilisation? +
Emergency mobilisation is the agreed rate plus 12.5% for the first 14 nights, and only where a safe property, a compliant team, written commissioner agreement and all required controls can be achieved.
